This video is 2 years old now, but if you haven’t seen it yet, you should. Now.

In the video producer’s own words”

“This is a slightly revised and cleaned up version of the video that was featured on YouTube in February 2007.

I considered releasing it as an “eternal beta” in true Web 2.0 style, but decided to let it stand as is and start working on future projects. Many of my future videos will address the last 30 seconds of this video (the “rethink …” part).

Thank you all for the helpful comments on the earlier draft. It has been a great experience to connect with so many people interested in
similar issues.

So you are welcome to download it, share it, even change it, just as long as you give me some credit and you don’t sell it or use it to sell anything. I received many more positive comments than negative about the song choice (great work Deus!), but if you are one of those who does not like the song just download the video and change the audio track to your liking.

The video was created by me (Michael Wesch), working alone from my house in St. George, Kansas. I used CamStudio for the screen captures and Sony Vegas for the panning/cropping/zooming animations. Someday I might make a video tutorial for those who are interested.”

Zeitgeist. Fact or Fiction? You be the judge…

Check this out. ZEITGEIST, The Movie - Remastered / Final Edition - Full Production. What do Christianity, 911 and The Federal Reserve all have in common?

Watch ZeitGeist to find out one group’s answer. It’s somewhat fascinating and educational, in between the expression’s of the producer’s opinions. For example, while explaining his theory’s on Jesus Christ actually being the literal “Sun” of God, as opposed to the more metaphorical “Son” of God, (with fancy production quality to make the presentation more pallatable to short attention spans) the presenter explains some things about astrology fundamentals which I for one never knew. It explains the meaning of the “The age of Aquarius” as made famous my the Broadway musical “Hair”. I never knew exactly what it meant and now I do. Hurrah.

But the video is very controversial to some, and as such, it belongs in a place in our archives here at DangerousInfo.com. Let us know with a comment below what you think about this video, or use our contact page to send us some more dangerous info you think we should share with the world.

Mad scientist at work…

Ok, so not really a mad scientist, but I felt a tad pretentious hanging out a sign on the old virtual doorknob saying “Genius at work.” In reality, I am just implementing a new blog site and tying it into my Facebook feed and my MySpace blog for auto cross posting. There will be a few hit or miss test posts like this one while I work it all out. Once I have it running, you should be able to get here to my blog from any of my social network site pages.

Hope it works quickly, so I don’t end up with a bunch of test posts to deal with.

But since I promised a Mad Scientist in my headline, I’ll try to oblige and keep these test posts amusing.

Here you go. Mad Scientist whackiness in a box:

The Singularity is coming… Check your reality!

If you don’t know what the Singularity is yet, you should. And you should look into it soon. You might want to just search the word on youtube and lose yoursef in the movies there for a real education. What we have here in this post is just more of a piece of trashy low budget, ok, crappy, art for the sake of wasting time. But it does try to make a little bit of a point amidst it’s pointlessness.

Really, this clip is just the result of some goofing around with music and 3D and video creation tools and doing a little composing and designing while thinking about digital convergence, artificial intelligence, anonymous global online chat rooms and messangers, email, spam, robots, freedom, and crazy madness mixed with a few learning systems, social networking systems, national security systems, massive e-commerce engines, a little bit of data here, a little bit of data there, and somewhere in the middle of this run-on sentence… a digital stream of conscienciousness that is waiting to awaken.

The digital and analog worlds are colliding at an ever increasing rate and the ensuing “mash-up” as the kids were calling it in recent days is bound to accellerate.

This clip is just the symbolic mashup of my own resulting from goofing around with some cool tools and somewhere in the middle of this run-on brain dump… a human stream of conscienciousness is waiting to awaken.

The Singularity. Mighty scary poop, if you ask me.

So goes my video ode to the world that is coming, in which you won’t really know who you are reading or chatting with online anymore. Intelligent bots, faster and smarter than some humans and eventually all humans are already in use every day. Ever heard an automated attendant say “Press or say ONE to continue…”? You see my point. What if the woman or man of your dreams online… isn’t… what if it is a finely crafted marketing bot selling you on all sorts of purchases in the name of your a’mour du jour’ ?

Now. What if that “machine” was sentient? Could think just like a human. Maybe even feel, in it’s own way.

What if it loved you back?

What if it hated you.

And what if “it” controlled every single digital bit of information about you everywhere.

Yep. Think about it. Think about it hard.

Ok. Done thinking?

So, are you scared, or is it nothing to worry about?

Now, share your thoughts with a comment below the video…

The “Did you know?” videos

These two excellent videos are the work of Karl Fisch and Scott McLeod from http://thefischbowl.blogspot.com.

This is a fairly impressive load of very important information about the changing cultural, political, financial and environmental aspects of our planet squeezed into two short, highly visual films.

If you haven’t seen these yet, you should.

If you didn’t know the information about our world that is contained in these films, you should.

If you haven’t started thinking about the global changes coming in the very near future, you should.

The world is about to become a very different place very suddenly and very quickly. There are a number of reasons for this, and potentially a number of consequences for everyone. What do you think we should make of all this? What do you think it means?
